Protects data at rest and is independent of operating system
High Density Devices (HDD) has launched [hiddn] Desktop – a new practical and cost-effective offering for protection of data stored on desktop computers.
HDD said that [hiddn] Desktop is released as a ‘Plug & Protect’ offering that installs as a PCI- or PCIe-card into the majority of desktops for protection of all data at rest.
The new desktop offering provides the option of connecting two hard drives to the same PCI/PCIe-card, and connects directly to the motherboard and storage media.
In addition, the [hiddn] Desktop incorporates the company’s [hiddn] Crypto Module, operates transparently without the need for user intervention, and is completely operating system independent.
HDD CEO Olav Stokke said that the [hiddn] Desktop adds to an already strong line of products catering for need to protect data at rest and will ensure that the integrity of their data is maintained at all times.
