Claims to provide protection against email-borne spam and malware
SonicWALL has unveiled an upgrade to its enterprise-class email security offerings with the release of Email Security 7.2, which offers email security features to protect against malicious and emerging threats.
With the release of Email Security 7.2, SonicWALL’s Advanced Reputation Management now provides protection against a email-borne spam and malware and spam originating from spambots.
As part of the company’s patented multi-engine email security system, Advanced Reputation Management offers protection against spambots, by correlating and analysing billions of data points from SonicWALL’s GRID Network of email, web and network security services in real time, the company said.
According to the SonicWALL, the Email Security 7.2 delivers advancements such as Advanced search and management and reporting options. SonicWALL’s MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) performance has been re-architected to scale the performance of software platforms, handling up to 10,000 concurrent connections for peak traffic loads.
In addition, new search feature gives administrators and end-users capability to search more than one million messages per second. It also provides new support for Global Management System (GMS), standards-based syslog support, and Windows Event Viewer.
SonicWALL’S Email Security (SES) is available as an appliance, Windows server-software, as a cloud-based platform through the company’s partners, or as a hybrid-cloud platform with the anti-spam service on TZ, NSA and E-Class NSA network security appliances, the company said.
