The Partner Management Console simplifies the management and monitoring of Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud and Symantec Backup Exec.cloud
Security firm Symantec has introduced several new cloud capabilities, including the availability of the Symantec Partner Management Console.
The Partner Management Console is a tool that utlises a single web-based portal to simplify the management and monitoring of Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud and Symantec Backup Exec cloud.
The new capabilities are a part of Symantec’s MSP strategy which delivers applications in an easier and more cost effective way to manage security and backup applications as managed services.
It also enables partners to provide customised and branded usage, status and security reports, which lowers the costs of managing multiple customers and service.
Symantec has also integrated with remote monitoring and management platform providers like Kaseya, LabTech Software and Level Platforms.
Using the Symantec Backup Exec 2012 Management Plug-in 1.1 for Kaseya, partners can benefit from the data and application protection capabilities of Symantec’s Backup Exec, along with the management and remote monitoring capabilities of the Kaseya management application.
The plug-in lets Kaseya users monitor and manage Symantec Backup Exec servers in the customer environments remotely from within the Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) console.
Symantec has also announced integrations with Level Platforms and Lab Tech Software with the release of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Service Module and LabTech’s Technology Alliance Partner Program.
The security firm has also introduced Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud and Symantec Backup Exec.cloud through the ExSP licensing program, a pay-as-you-go model.
The pay-as-you-go model offers partners the flexibility to buy Symantec software in a monthly subscription-based model and rewards service partners for their growth by reducing licensing costs as their volume of business increases.
Partners enrolled in Symantec’s SMB Specialisation program now have access to partner-only support, giving them fast access to more qualified technical support professionals and enabling them to manage costs and maximise profits.
