Protection of data in motion with encryption, validation and authentication
WidePoint, a provider of wireless mobility management and cybersecurity offerings, and Wackenhut Services, a US government contractor for professional security services, have entered into an agreement to expand Wackenhut’s total security services.
The agreement will extend the security services of Wackenhut Services (WSI) with the addition of logical security offerings for identity management and information protection provided by WidePoint in conjunction with WSI’s existing technology offerings.
The agreement also enables WSI to provide its existing clients with technology offerings that will enable them to securely control access to networked assets through the use of enhanced multi-factor authentication.
The enhanced technology will protect data in motion with encryption, validation and authentication managed through WidePoint’s facilities authorised to operate by the US Federal Government.
WidePoint CEO Steve Komar said the company is pleased to join forces with WSI with the goal of providing a set of collaborative offerings that strengthens the ability to defend against the growing number of cyber threats present in today’s environment.
WidePoint chief technology officer Daniel Turissini said that company’s Protexx IVAN-4 (Identify, Validate, Authorise, and Navigate) Trusted Authentication Gateways will deliver cost effective AES 256-bit encryption (leveraging a FIPS 140-2 Level 3/EAL5+ cryptographic anchor) at real-time Gigabit per second speeds and drive encrypted data protection for various WSI wireless applications.
