Buffalo Technology, a developer of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory services, has unveiled the TeraStation Duo and the TeraStation III, the company’s new SMB network storage systems.
Offered with higher capacities, enhanced backup speeds, hot spare and hot swap capabilities, the newly designed TeraStation Duo and TeraStation III are built to answer all the network storage needs of small-to-medium sized businesses, said Buffalo.
According to the company, the latest TeraStation devices include features that support dependable backup, eco-conscious power management, as well as enhanced business and reliability features. To better function within the work environment, both the TeraStation Duo and the TeraStation III are expected to include hot swappable drives for continued use even in the unlikely event of drive failure. The devices also include disk encryption for ultimate protection; a controlled fan with a thermal sensor for optimal cooling; NFS and Active Directory.
Ken Higgins, vice president of sales at Buffalo Technology, said: As businesses grow, so does their data and need to keep it protected. Buffalo is continuously pushing the envelope to develop products that not only provide these necessities with high capacities and secure encryption, but raises the standards with faster transfer speeds, power management systems and much more.
