Provide secure acces to files backed up online, on Apple iOS or Android device
Provider of consumer backup offerings Code 42 has launched companion mobile apps for their CrashPlan backup services.
The free apps provide users secure access to all their files backed up online, on any Apple iOS or Android device, said the company.
Browsing, downloading, viewing and sharing files are made easy to users with Apps from their CrashPlan online backups and the common file types, like pictures, word processing files, slide presentations and spreadsheets can be viewed directly within the apps, or shared with other compatible apps, said code 42.
Downloaded files are stored on the mobile device for fast access, and the files can be synchronised with the latest online version with a single tap.
Code 42 co-founder and CEO Matthew Dornquast said he loves their secure one-touch update which allows him to update everything with a single tap, or selectively update key files if he is over a limited connection.
"This is mile! on our mobile device journey, it’s going to be a great trip," said Dornquast.
CrashPlan extends its already unrivaled compatibility with the addition of the iOS and Android apps which supports Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris and the CrashPlan apps are part of Code 42’s growing family of data storage and collaboration products.
The mobile CrashPlan app is currently available for free download via the Apple iTunes App Store and Android Marketplace.
