Makes online document access possible
CMEurope, a subsidiary of Australian HR outsourcing and recruitment firm Chandler MacLeod, has adopted Formscan’s electronic document management and outsourced mailroom service to save and archive their administrative and business documents.
CMEurope, which was formed after the acquisition of the culture and leadership consultancy Mettle, now turned paperless with all the documents being managed virtually.
The HR firm’s administrative mails are directly sent to Formscan’s mail processing centre, where they are scanned, indexed and uploaded into the online technology platform. The business mails are received by the CMEurope staff, who send them to Formscan periodically for archiving.
CMEurope employees can access the required documents from Formscan’s repository. Archiving space is managed by destroying all the unnecessary documents based on the recommendations of its client.
Kenneth Tombs, managing director at CMEurope, said: Physical record-keeping is a thing of the past. In my experience, about 20-30% of my team’s time would be spent on paper-chasing. This is counterproductive. We need all our time and energy for winning customers’ business and delivering an effective, valuable service to our clients.
Formscan’s system enables senior management of CMEurope to work from home. In addition, the staff in Australia can go through the documents of their subsidiary office online, irrespective of the time difference between the two regions.
Formscan offers various business document management services, such as scanning, data capture from forms, document hosting, business process improvement, and archiving for long-term information retention. It claims to have 400 clients in the UK and Europe in financial and manufacturing sectors, and local and central governments.
Chris Haden, managing director of Formscan, said: As opinions start to change, we are seeing increasing demand for outsourced document scanning, archive and retrieval services that take the strain off businesses from an operational, legal and risk management perspective.
