HP has expanded its Total Care portfolio with the launch of new desktops PCs, servers, storage products and services for small and medium businesses.
The new offerings include two desktop PCs and displays; services to collaborate in increasingly virtual work environments; LaserJet printer designed to help customers reduce their carbon footprint; server and storage products to protect data; and a networking switch to reduce costs and improve productivity.
According to HP, the HP Connect Solutions help SMBs connect with customers, colleagues and partners. Components of HP Connect Solutions include virtual rooms; virtual support room; Huddle.net; and Norton online backup from Symantec. The HP ProCurve 2520 Switch Series is designed for SMBs that need to deploy voice, video and wireless applications requiring PoE (Power-over-Ethernet).
The company said that the ProLiant ML110 and DL120 G6 servers offer SMBs performance at a cost-effective price. The business computing bundles bring end-to-end IT capabilities to small business owners. The bundles, which include thin clients, ProLiant servers and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, deliver Windows desktops, business applications and remote access while improving security and reducing total costs.
The new storage products include StorageWorks DAT 320 Tape Drive, HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System, HP LeftHand P4000 SAN offering and HP SimpleSave hard drives for business customers, available in 500GB, 1 terabyte (TB) and 2TB versions.
In addition, the company has also expanded its Eco offerings for printing with new offerings designed to reduce the impact of printing on environment. The LaserJet P2055d printer with the energy star technology provides 50% power savings. HP eco solutions print console help SMBs manage printer’s energy and paper saving setting directly from the PC.
The Green Action Plan for Office Printing leverages tools such as the Carbon Footprint Calculator for printing to guide SMBs through a process to assess their carbon footprint and build an environmental printing strategy, the company said.
