ADC, a global fiber infrastructure supplier, has launched a new version of its InterReach Fusion in-building cellular system tailored for use by Canadian cellular providers.
The new system supports 800 iDEN/SMR, 850MHz cellular, and 1900MHz frequencies, and will accommodate all Canadian carriers, including Bell Mobility, Rogers, and Telus. First deployment of the new InterReach Fusion system is at the Vancouver Convention Center Expansion, site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Since its introduction two years ago, InterReach Fusion has become the world’s most widely-deployed distributed antenna system (DAS) for in-building cellular coverage. With more than 2000 deployments worldwide, InterReach Fusion now delivers clear and consistent multi-carrier coverage in such North American venues as the Palazzo Las Vegas, The Greenbrier Resort in Virginia, and the Black Gold Centre in Alberta, Canada.
John Spindler, vice president of product management at ADC, said: InterReach Fusion is the only in-building solution that supports multiple carriers and frequencies with a single set of electronics and standard building cabling, which makes it much more cost-effective and easy to deploy than competing products. By specifically supporting all of the major carriers in Canada, this new version of InterReach Fusion will further accelerate our success in the North American market.
