Sony SmartWatch 3 is the first smarwatch to include the newly introduced GPS sensor.
Google has updated its Android Wear for the first time which focuses upon the devices fitness functionality.
The Android wear now support built-in GPS sensors which is designed to providing new tools that will track things like route, distance and speed independent of the users phone.
Users will also be able to store music on to the watch, pair Bluetooth enabled headphones and use offline music playback.
Users with GPS enabled watch will be able to use Golfshot and MyTracks through Google Play Music.
Sony SmartWatch 3 is the first smartwatch that has dedicated GPS sensor which is available for preorder for $249.99 from Verizon Wireless and is expected to arrive at Google Play.
It also features a transflective display which is designed to let users view the content in the sunlight and improve battery life.
LG G Watch, Moto 360 and Samsung Gear Live will roll out the new music functionality over the next few days.
Google has also introduced eight new app collections in Google Play that are designed to enhance the android wear experience.
