MX Series routers to help protect the network from attacks
South Korean business services provider Hyosung ITX has improved the performance and reliability of its content delivery network by deploying Juniper Networks MX Series ethernet services routers.
Juniper said that with MX960 and MX480 routers in its network, Hyosung ITX can ensure that bandwidth-intensive web content is securely delivered with high-performance and quality to a substantial number of concurrent users.
Juniper claims that the MX Series supports a range of services, ranging from high-speed transport and VPN services, next-generation broadband multiplay services and high-volume internet data center internetworking. The MX Series leverages Junos Software, a single-source operating system running routing, switching and security platforms from Juniper Networks.
Park Sun-Kyu, manager of the content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure team at Hyosung ITX, said: We selected the MX Series routers to help protect our network from attacks such as DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) and to improve the speed at which our server farms communicate with one another. Both (of these) functions are critical to CDNs when serving such a high number of concurrent users.
