Apple’s latest phone model to be unveiled on September 10.
Japanese website Macotakara has said its sources in Asia have confirmed that the successor to the iPhone 5 will be called the iPhone 5S and a new low-cost iPhone will be known as the iPhone 5C.
The new phones will be unveiled on September 10 and will then be released shortly after in October. It is possible that the new iPad and iPad Mini will be released at the same event.
The iPhone 5S will run on iOS7 with a dual-core CPU and tri-core GPU) feature a slow-motion camera and a fingerprint sensor. The camera will be increased to 12 megapixels with a dual LED flash.
The iPhone 5C will be plastic backed to make it cheaper in order to capture the mid-range market, where Apple is currently losing out to competing Android devices.
The C is thought to stand for ‘Colour’ with the phone being available in a spectrum of colours, but, of course, C also stands for ‘Cheaper’.
