News: App can be incorporated into the Pi-Top B+, a Raspberry Pi-compatible laptop.
3D Slash has released a version of its app for the Raspberry Pi to expand access to easy-to-use 3D modeling tools.
The app can be incorporated into the Pi-Top B+, a Raspberry Pi-compatible laptop, to create a collaborative system for users to design and code electronic-based objects such as robots and PCBs.
The programme enables students to design 3D objects on a single board computer. It allows Pi-Top users to move objects with the trackpad and interact with the keyboard.
It can be used to create personalised 3D models in the app. The app also runs on Linux, OS X, and Windows.
3D Slash CEO Sylvain Huet said: "We share the same values regarding friendly IT education, which includes beginners, and the desire to put the power of creation into the hands of the people-and it’s really inspiring to partner up with Pi-Top on this wonderful project."
3D Slash develops its concept on preassembled Cuboid forms of different sizes as per the octree model.
