Accenture has acquired defense contractor Maxim Systems to expand its command and control business with the US military and intelligence community. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Maxim offers engineering and technical services around command, control, communications, intelligence and surveillance systems. For example, the company provides systems for the US Navy’s satellite programs, as well as a secure network for the US and its allies to share intelligence information.
Accenture said the acquisition will compliment its recent purchases of Gestalt and the George Group in the command and control space.
Maxim’s 135 employees will join Accenture. The deal should close within 30 days.
