UK based eBusiness company Affinity Internet has announced narrowed first quarter losses and increased first quarter revenues. Pre tax losses for the three months to the end of March were £2.5 million compared with £6.6 million for the same period last year. Turnover for the same period increased from £5.6 million to £19 million.
The majority of the company’s losses came from its Internet and Commerce divisions. Affinity blames the slower than anticipated take up of unmetered Internet access packages for small businesses for the company’s losses. The company’s Internet business has around 1.65 million registered customers.
