Alcatel has embarked on a bid to improve its client relations in Brazil. The company recently announced that it has opened a ‘Technical Assistance Center’ or TAC to help operators that utilize Alcatel supplied GSM networks in Latin America.
The company has hired a team of trained engineers to help operators with any problems they might have with the Alcatel infrastructure. The team will offer Alcatel’s clients 24-hour support.
The company believes it is on to a winner since the Latin American mobile market has plenty of potential. It has been following the technological evolution of mobile networks in Latin America and believes it has prepared to cater for new market entrants as well for existing operators.
So far, Alcatel has supplied GSM/GPRS systems to operators in Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Paraguay.
