Amdocs has unveiled Amdocs Customer Experience Systems blueprint, an outline of the operating environment required to transform communications service providers into enhanced digital service providers.
According to the company, the blueprint goes beyond the traditional business support system (BSS), operation support systems (OSS), and service delivery platforms (SDPs) and incorporates all current and emerging business processes.
We are now sharing our industry-specific insight, knowledge and vision to help all service providers move beyond the traditional OSS and BSS technology-centric approach and confidently transform with our customer experience systems approach, said Guy Dubois, executive vice president at Amdocs.
Customer Experience Systems (CES) blueprint defines operating environment into different layers. These include real-time multi-network interaction, industry-optimised information management, and packaged industry business processes. Other customer focused layers include customer and partner interactions across multiple channels and customer experience applications.
The company also announced the formation of a new business unit for its advertising, commerce, and entertainment products and services. The offerings will combine Qpass digital commerce platform, existing Amdocs products, and new products that will allow providers to introduce and manage digital retail and content offerings across multiple devices, services or marketing models.
