The latest suit is scheduled for trial in March 2014
The long-running patent war between Apple and Samsung Electronics has escalated further with Apple claiming that six more Samsung products infringe its patents.
The six products that Apple is seeking to add include Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wifi, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Rugby Pro, and the Galaxy S III Mini.
The latest suit, which is scheduled for trial in March 2014, is the latest move in a series of patent infringement lawsuits filed by Apple against Samsung in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
In August this year, a jury ordered Samsung to pay about $1.05bn to Apple as damages for infringing its patents.
Earlier this month, a Judge at the US District Court for the Northern District of California allowed iPhone 5 Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S III and Android 4.1 operating system to be added to the ongoing patent battle between both the firms.
Last week, Samsung claimed that the iPhone maker’s new iPad mini infringes eight of its patented technologies.
Earlier this month, a US judge ordered Apple to reveal all details of its deals with HTC to Samsung, in response to recent plea by the South Korean firm.
Since April last year, both firms filed about 30 lawsuits against each other in at least 12 courts, nine countries, and four continents which involve smartphones and tablet patents.
