ARM Holdings has officially opened its new Chinese headquarters located in Shanghai. It is believed that ARM entered the Chinese market in order to take advantage of the growing Chinese semiconductor industry, which is expected to become the second largest in the world by the end of this decade. ARM plans to license its technologies to Chinese integrated circuit design centers, foundries, OEMs and other third parties.
ARM China also announced that it has signed partnership agreements with two Chinese companies.
