Used for protecting players information and analysis
Buffalo Technology, a provider of storage, multimedia, and wireless networking offerings for the home and small business, has said that it has been selected by Arsenal FC to supply a storage offering at the Hertfordshire based training ground.
Arsenal has installed two of Buffalo’s TeraStation ES Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices to protect the player information and analysis.
The club also purchased eight MiniStation hard drives with hardware encryption to be used by the football analysis team, the medical staff and the coaches, the company said.
The company claims its high-tech encryption ensures that confidential data remains safe and secure if the drives are ever misplaced or stolen.
Arsenal Training Ground facilities manager Sean O’Connor said his job is not to manage IT so he really needed a offering that just worked; the TeraStation was easy to set up and configure and was up and running immediately.
"The MiniStation’s were also easy to use and the team love that the portable hard drives are plug-and-play as they can literally just plug them into their laptops and instantly access and upload data," O’Connor said.
