Borders, a retailer of books, music and movies, has announced that it will soon launch its own in-house online retail operation.
The launch of the site will signify the end of Borders’s agreement with Amazon, which has so far been providing the online retail service for Borders.
Tangent will provide the design and create the website, which is due for launch in spring 2008. Earlier, customers interested in buying a book from Borders online were re-directed to Amazon’s UK website.
