Brandes Investment Partners has gone live with transaction lifecycle management services provider SmartStream Technologies’s TLM Reconciliations as its enterprise-wide reconciliations platform.
Brandes has deployed TLM Reconciliations to manage its diverse portfolio, increasing control and visibility in the transaction lifecycle through reconciliation and exception management processes, said SmartStream.
Richard Balk, director of operations at Brandes Investment Partners, said: When we implemented SmartStream’s TLM, we started with about 50% of our institutional accounts. The manual entry of posting transactions is now replaced by auto posting of high frequency transactions, resulting in an 80% decrease in processing time.
Lou Longhi, managing director of Americas at SmartStream Technologies, said: As both the institutional and separately managed account (SMA) businesses continue to grow strongly, many investment managers are looking to build up their operational controls for these products and offer improved customer service. We are very pleased that Brandes has recognized these capabilities to support its business strategy and named SmartStream as its strategic supplier for reconciliations.
