UK-based CacheLogic, a provider of digital asset delivery and a new generation content delivery network, has announced a partnership with Microsoft to introduce Windows Media Streaming services on its Velocix network.
The Velocix Video-Windows Media Streaming service will provide both live and on-demand streaming from media servers deployed globally across the Velocix Network through Windows Media Services 9 Series.
CacheLogic customer Opus Media, a leading Bollywood content distributor, is to use Velocix Video Streaming’s Windows Media functionality in support of their forthcoming Bollywood.tv service initiative. Bollywood.tv will make the world’s largest on-line library of new and classic South Asian movies available for download or on-demand viewing.
Darren Hop, CEO at Opus Media, said: We have already deployed CacheLogic’s video download services across our consumer video portals. Now with the introduction of Velocix Video Streaming support, we can also offer an instant on-demand viewing experience to our subscribers.
