Can Coca-Cola gain retail shopper insights with JDA’s suite?
JDA Software Group, a provider of supply and demand chain management services, has announced that Coca-Cola Enterprises has deployed several applications in JDA’s Space & Category Management suite, including JDA Space Planning, JDA Space Automation, JDA CategoryAdvisor and JDA Intactix Knowledge Base systems, to streamline productivity and leverage retail shopper insights to drive positive business results.
According to JDA Software, its services provide Coca-Cola Enterprises with a platform for planogram creation and analysis with integration to retailer point-of-sale data. JDA Space Automation and Space Planning applications enable the execution of top-level category plans to optimize store-specific assortment management. The company utilizes JDA Intactix Knowledge base to better manage planograms, product allocation, store and merchandise data, as well as performance data and other key elements.
Luisa Eichman, director of space planning services at Coca-Cola Enterprises, said: We were looking for a solution that would allow us to deliver merchandising solutions that reflect the differences across stores to effectively bring the right products to consumers at the right locations. We also needed to create a business process to ensure quality checks on store-level planograms, while at the same time increasing the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the planogram process.
David Johnston, senior vice president of manufacturing and wholesale distribution for JDA Software, said: The solutions selected by Coca-Cola Enterprises proved to be ideal for streamlining its processes and achieving its performance goals. As a result, Coca-Cola Enterprises discovered what many JDA customers in the competitive beverage market have already experienced: that JDA’s merchandising solutions can provide the leverage needed to optimize space and category management, from the store level to the strategy level.
