Consulting, application services, IT infrastructure services, and business and knowledge process services
Cognizant, a provider of business, technology and consulting services, has expanded its North American service delivery centre capacity.
A full range of services including consulting, application services, IT infrastructure services, and business and knowledge process services are expected to be delivered from the new service delivery centre.
The company said that the new delivery centre would accommodate over 1,000 employees, which earlier accomodated 500 persons. The company said it continues to expand employment in its existing delivery centres in the US.
Cognizant chief financial and operating officer Gordon Coburn said they are proud to have grown to 100,000 employees in just 16 years, with over 17,000 professionals in North America.
"We are making substantial North American investments in people, facilities, systems, and processes to meet continued strong demand for our services," Coburn said.
The company said in addition to the Phoenix delivery centre, it operates an enterprise analytics centre in New Jersey; and a global Network Operations Center (NOC) in Massachusetts that supports Cognizant’s IT Infrastructure Services business.
This new centre gets added to the company’s already existing delivery centres in Arkansas and Illinois that provide application development and maintenance, testing, and packaged software implementation services.
