Product reseller and infrastructure services provider Computacenter has acquired Allnet, the cabling services division of Cable & Wireless, for an undisclosed sum.
Allnet provides network consulting, integration, support, maintenance and security services to a range of corporate and government clients including Morgan Stanley, Vodafone, Transport for London, and Birmingham City Council. The company has 168 employees, all of whom will transfer to Computacenter under the terms of the takeover.
In a separate deal, Cable & Wireless has named Computacenter as preferred supplier of LAN services to its operations in the UK.
Allnet is the second company to be acquired by Computacenter so far this year. In January, it paid 15.9m pounds ($31.4m) for UK IT services vendor Digica Group.
