Supports Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS and Windows Server 2008 R2
Computhink, a provider of ECM for secure information sharing and compliance, has introduced new document management and content Management offering, ViewWise 7.0 that supports Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS and Windows Server 2008 R2.
The new offering comes with an improved graphical user interface that provides users with a new customisable ribbon, updated icons, and quick access to recent documents and search history.
In addition, the security interface allows for easier navigation and creation of permissions, along with an additional feature to print and export security details.
ViewWise 7.0 rules-based retention engine has been updated to support conditional retention based on index values, which allows for the creation of conditional retention rules; this feature expands when documents can be expired, allowing for organisations to create and electronically automate more advanced record management policies.
The document management offering also benefits customers with updated workflow features to route electronic files to dynamic locations based on index values.
Further, the ViewWise 7.0 features include: the ability within Windows to send any document to ViewWise with a right-click, Microsoft Office 2010 support, and the ability to color code folders and documents for better organisation.
The new offering also features a ribbon-based user interface; 64-bit printer driver support; flexible retention rules; and advanced routing.
Computhink product management director Vince Smolek said with ViewWise 7.0 the company has taken a big step forward with regards to the user interface and overall usability.
"In addition to ViewWise 7.0 being easier than ever to use at the client level, this version will further help companies streamline business processes on the back-end," Smolek said.
