Customer management revenue decreased to $466.7m in Q4 2010
Convergys has reported revenue of $573.2m for the fourth quarter of 2010, a decrease of 4% as compared to $596m for the same period last year.
Revenue from customer management decreased 3% to $466.7m from $483.6m; information management revenue fell 13% to $97.8m.
For the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2010, the company posted an operating loss of $159.2m, compared to an operating loss of $5.8m for the same period last year.
Convergys has posted a net loss of $144.7m in the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to net income of $41.6m in the same quarter previous year.
Loss on diluted EPS was $1.19 in Q4 2010, compared to a gain on EPS of $0.34 for the same quarter previous year.
For the fiscal year 2010, the total revenue decreased by 9% to $2.2bn compared to $2.4bn in the previous fiscal year.
The company registered an operating and net loss of $94.6m and $53.2m, respectively, for the fiscal 2010.
Convergys president and CEO Jeff Fox said the company made progress simplifying the business and improving operating performance in both Customer Management and Information Management.
"As we enter 2011, our focus is on growing revenue and earnings while investing in the capabilities that our clients value. We expect to report higher revenue, EBITDA, and earnings in 2011 versus 2010." Fox said.
