Taiwanese phone manufacturer E-Ten Information Systems has launched the Glofiish M800 smartphone in the UK.
According to E-Ten, the M800 features a 2.8 inch VGA display with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, integrated voice recorder and a two megapixel digital camera. It also supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA cellular technologies. The memory is expandable through a MicroSD card slot.
It also has a 0.3 megapixel CMOS camera on the front for video calling, touch screen, four hours talk time battery life and is powered by Windows Mobile 6 with a Microsoft office suite.
E-Ten’s new smartphone is similar to competitor HTC’s TyTN II, which is also powered by Windows Mobile 6, and comes with 3.5G technology, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, built in GPS, and a three megapixel camera.
E-Ten also launched X800 and X600 in the Glofiish series earlier this month. The X800 model features 3.5G HSDPA connectivity, VoIP, IM, video calling and ability to stream audio and video, while the X600 features GPRS and Wi-Fi connectivity.
