Expects revenues to be $19.6bn in 2011
EMC has posted revenues of $4.9bn in the fourth quarter of 2010, an increase of 20% compared to $4.1bn for the same quarter last year.
The company posted operating income of $943.7m in the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to $587.6m in the previous year quarter.
For the quarter ended December 31 2010, the company’s net income attributable to the company was $628.6m, an increase of 61% compared to $390.6m for the same period last year.
Diluted earnings per share increased to $0.29 from $0.19 in the fourth quarter.
For fiscal year 2010, the company posted net revenues increased 21% year-on-year to $17bn, operating income of $2.7bn and net income was $1.9bn.
EMC chairman and CEO Joe Tucci said the platform for change in the IT industry has arrived with the biggest opportunity residing at the intersection of trusted cloud computing, enterprise data and ‘Big Data.’
The company expects revenues to be $19.6bn, net income to be $2.4bn, and diluted earnings per share to be $1.07 for 2011.
