A joint venture between federal services contractors OnPoint Consulting and Tantus Technologies has won a seven-year, $89m contract to support the Federal Aviation Administration’s financial management office.
The venture will provide technical support for the FAA’s Office of the Assistant Administrator for Financial Services/CFO, which oversees the agency’s $14bn budget and its financial systems.
OnPoint provides project management and systems development for a range of federal agencies. The company said it pulled in about $25m in revenue last year. Tantus is a smaller contractor, and the two firms’ venture is part of the Small Business Administration’s Mentor-Protege program.
There are also some much bigger guns on the project; IBM Global Services, Oracle Consulting, government contractor SRA International, and Compusearch Software Systems, a federal procurement and contract management firm, have been named as partners for the FAA award, according to a release from OnPoint and Tantus.
