Asia Pacific region will dominate the worldwide digital retailing market
Global online retailing market is expected to grow at compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25.49% per year to reach $378bn in 2017, according to a report from the ReportsnReports.
According to the report, the Asia Pacific region is expected to continue to dominate the worldwide digital retailing market during the forecast period.
The Middle East and Africa regions are expected to experience slow down in the online retail market growth, while Latin America would increase marginally.
Regions like the UK, France, Germany, Russia and Italy had accounted for over half of European online retail sales during 2012 and their combined share is expected to dip by 2017.
During 2012, Japan and China jointly occupied over 75% of total Asia-Pacific online retail sales, the report revealed.
At the same time, Europe is expected to recover from the economic crisis and continue to grow for the forecast period as well as the growth recorded by the North American market.
