ECI Telecom, a provider of networking infrastructure equipment, has won a contract from Chinese utility Henan Power to expand its optical transmission network.
Henan Power will be deploying the XDM’s new family of carrier Ethernet line cards. They provide Henan with quality-assured Layer 1 and Layer 2 Ethernet services and with software migration to MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching).
The new network will provide greater communication capacity to Henan Power’s power plants. ECI Telecom supports Henan Power as it promotes more efficient energy and moves away from air-polluting sources of energy.
Mr Lin, vice general manager of Henan Power, said: After evaluating all the major suppliers, we found that ECI met our requirements, allowing us to cost-effectively build the network and enable us to provide our plants with greater network bandwidth.
