Data centre services and end-user workplace management
HP Servicios Espana has signed a seven-year technology services agreement with FCC, a Spain-based multinational public services company.
The technology services agreement valued approximately $300m is to transform FCCs technology infrastructure and to advance the company’s ability to compete internationally.
Under the agreement, HP will provide data centre services and end-user workplace management for the entire FCC organisation, which has a presence in 54 countries.
HP will also provide centralised data centre services and consolidate FCC’s distributed data centres into two locations in Madrid, Spain, operated by HP.
Further, HP will also provide workplace services, including delivering service desk services in nine languages to support FCC’s 20,000 worldwide employees.
FCC’s core businesses are environmental services and water management, construction of large infrastructure, cement production and renewable energy production.
HP enterprise services EMEA senior vice president and general manager Mike Nefkens said that to capitalise on FCCs growth opportunities, FCC needs a technology infrastructure that is available, enables collaboration and adapts easily to change.
"Drawing on our expertise in managing technology environments for large global companies, the HP team will help FCC on its journey to become an Instant-On Enterprise," Nefkens said.
