IBM Corp has introduced a line of quality management software and services for the pre-deployment phase of service-oriented architectures.
The new offerings include IBM’s rational, Tivoli, and WepShere applications. IBM says the new line will automate the testing and detection functions to make sure certain web services will function in other parts of an SOA setting and across a company’s infrastructure.
Specific products, for example, will test the functionality of Web services, as well as their performance and scalability, IBM said Tuesday in a release. IBM will also add functions to its application management tool to provide reporting of service availability and performance.
As part of the announcement, IBM said its worldwide SOA center for implementation testing will be available in the second quarter of the year. And the company named several software partners for its quality management offerings, including Black Duck Software, BSD Group, Klocwork, Ounce Labs, RingZero, SPI Dynamics and Watchfire.
