Traveling in a vehicle could soon be as entertaining as sitting in your living room if Delphi and Mesh Networks get their way. Delphi has been developing a way to deliver real-time Internet and digital information to devices moving at high speeds via Mesh’s network.
Passengers of a vehicle will be able to connect to the Internet via a broadband connection. The companies are trying to hit data transfer speeds of 6 megabits per second. This means that in car entertainment could soon become highly sophisticated.
The content that could be downloaded includes video games, and MP3 music files. If it succeeds with ‘on-demand’ technology then this could allow users to access other digital data such as movies, which could make boring long distance car journeys a thing of the past.
