Infor, a provider of enterprise software solutions, has launched Feature Pack 5 for Infor HCM workforce management. New features and enhancements help companies speed time-to-deployment, ease administration and improve usability to optimize the performance of its employees.
The company has said that the new feature pack for Infor workforce management delivers more than a dozen new features designed to accelerate a company’s labor performance and reduce the burden of administration for management. This release marks the fourth feature pack for Infor workforce management since Infor’s acquisition of Workbrain in spring 2007.
According to the company, key among the new features is a new Payroll Wizard, which simplifies and automates the payroll process to help reduce the number of retro adjustments following each pay cycle. The Wizard guides payroll administrators step-by-step through the payroll export process, including off-cycle exports for retroactive adjustments and terminated employees.
The enhanced pay rules built into HCM workforce management Feature Pack 5 reduce the need for pay rule customization, which results in faster implementation and lower administration costs. Feature Pack 5 also includes support for semi-monthly pay periods. Enhancements to the employee import functionality reduce data entry and establish greater flexibility in the development of employee form layouts. Error handling and messaging has been upgraded to improve data integrity, said Infor.
Sandra Rousseau, manager for global industry product marketing of human capital management at Infor, said: The non-intrusive Feature Pack update provides optional enhancements that can be turned on function by function, as the customer requires them. This approach ensures existing customers are able to upgrade quickly and new customers have access to the latest functionality as soon as it is available.
