Indian IT services company Infosys Technologies has announced strategic initiatives for expanding its relationship with software giant Microsoft.
As part of the initiative, Infosys has established a 400 seat capacity vendor offshore facility (VOF) compliant with Microsoft’s security and privacy standards to facilitate working on Microsoft programs.
Infosys has also developed a Microsoft Dynamics concept center, designed to accelerate deployment of solutions developed around the Microsoft Dynamics line of business solutions.
Moorthy Uppaluri, chief executive at Microsoft IT-Global said: Together with Infosys we are creating technology solutions that enable the businesses of our customers and stakeholders to be People-Ready.
Since 1998, Infosys has provided services such as consulting, development and support to Microsoft.
Infosys has also set up a center of excellence (COE) for Microsoft’s rival Oracle. The Oracle COE focuses on solution offerings for E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel CRM, Retek, G-Log and Fusion applications. Infosys is also a service partner for another Microsoft competitor, SAP, in North America, Japan and Australia.
