IPC, a communication solutions provider, has launched session initiation protocol-based Nexus Suite, a communications platform for the trading floor that links elements of IPC’s network services with the IPC Alliance platform to unify communications technology in real time.
PC’s Nexus Suite breaks down traditional technological barriers within a trading organization. Traders can collaborate with peers, counterparties, and back office personnel, switching back and forth seamlessly from one application to another without skipping a beat. Nexus Suite will allow traders to make the best use of all available communications tools such as voice, instant messaging and video across numerous devices, making it easier for the trader to multitask. As a result, traders can make faster, more accurate decisions, increasing productivity and guaranteeing their clients constant access to liquidity.
Michael Speranza, vice president of product management at IPC, said: For over 35 years, IPC has been inspired and driven to innovate by the needs of its customers. IPC was the first to bring VoIP to the trading floor. Today, we’re first to unify communications on the trading floor with the launch of Nexus Suite, which uses the power of SIP to connect disparate communication silos, enhance collaboration throughout trading community and ensure higher levels of customer service. We are proud to continue leading the industry with innovative applications of technology to solve our customers’ evolving business challenges.
