Japanese mobile operator KDDI is to launch its location based service GPS MAP from October. The service, which is aimed at corporate users, enables users to display the movement history of employees and information about the progress of work.
The system allows messages to be sent from the monitoring PC to individual mobile handsets. This should enable supervisors to improve operational efficiency by sending instructions to dispatched personnel, who can then quickly act on the information.
The location information management service will enable business to accurate track the movement of sales personnel and other staff, allowing operational efficiencies to be made. The phones are equipped with a privacy function that can be used to maintain the user’s privacy when not working.
