Japanese games publisher Konami has listed its stocks on the New York Stock Exchange, in the form of American Depository Shares. The company is also listed on two other exchanges outside Japan, having joined the Singapore exchange in 1997, and the London exchange in 1999.

Konami also hopes that the listing with increase confidence in its stocks, thanks to the additional financial accounting controls and the strengthened disclosure procedures which will now be applied to the company.
The listing has already taken effect, with the shares listed under the ticker KNM. JPMorgan Chase Bank is acting as the depository bank for the listing.
