Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) has launched its GPRS networks in the Gulf state. This is the nation’s first GPRS network, which allows for high-speed transmission of data.
MTC is launching the service using Motorola network infrastructure. The deal between the two companies was valued at $4.6 million. The network covers the whole nation. At present it is on offer to a selection of customers, but will be available for general use by the end of this month.
