Communications revenue for Q4 was down to $904m from $906m
Level 3 Communications has reported revenue of $921m for the fourth quarter 2010, compared to revenue of $924m for the same period last year. Total communications revenue was down to $904m from $906m.
The company posted an operating loss of $4m for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to an operating loss of $43m for the same period in 2009.
For the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2010, the company posted net loss of $52m, or $0.03 per share compared to net loss of $182m, or $0.11 per basic and diluted share.
For fiscal year 2010, the company’s total revenue decreased to $3.7bn compared to revenue of $3.8bn for the previous fiscal year.
Operating loss and net loss for the fiscal 2010 increased to $90m and $622m, from $65m and $618m, respectively, in the previous fiscal year.
Level 3 CEO James Crowe said with their continued focus on customer service and investment in the business, they saw Core Network Services revenue and sales increase sequentially.
"This revenue growth led to sequential gains in Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA, and we generated positive Free Cash Flow during the quarter," Crowe said.
