Sangoma Technologies, a provider of networking and telephony solutions, has announced that its PC-based hardware is being installed in lottery terminals to be installed throughout the Province of Quebec, Canada by Loto-Quebec, an agency of the Government of Quebec, which operates a public lottery and video lottery network.
Sangoma’s PCI-based ADSL, T1 and 56kbps DDS cards will be supplied under subcontract to Sagem Communications of Paris, France for installation in lottery terminals provided to Loto-Quebec. The cards will connect the lottery terminals throughout the Province of Quebec to the central office. Approximately 10,000 cards of different types will be purchased in an initial deal worth approximately $800,000 US.
