Marvell, a provider of storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, has announced that its Qdeo video processing is a featured technology of the Pioneer Elite SC-09TX (North American model)/SC-LX90 (worldwide model) A/V receiver.
Part of the Marvell 88DE2710 digital video format converter, Qdeo delivers quiet, natural video free of artifacts and noise for truly immersive viewing experiences.
At the core of the Marvell 88DE2710, Qdeo processing utilizes algorithms designed to erase video artifacts. An immersive video experience is constructed through a careful application of a suite of QuietVideo technologies: Per-pixel motion-adaptive 3D de-interlacing prevents ‘jaggies’ and eliminates feathering. Per-pixel motion-adaptive noise and compression artifact reduction removes noise inherent in digital video. Adaptive Contrast Enhancement (ACE) and Intelligent Color Remapping (ICR) render richer and more vivid images.
Nikhil Balram, vice president and general manager of the digital entertainment business unit, communications and consumer business group at Marvell, said: As the standard for image quality in the home theater continues to increase with the growth of display size, contrast, and resolution, it is imperative that video processing technologies stay one step ahead. Qdeo is designed to deliver a completely immersive viewing experience by rendering content in its most pristine form, without distractions, and without harming the image.
