A 4GLTE enabled Android smartphone
MetroPCS Communications, a provider of wireless service, and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), have introduced the Samsung Galaxy Indulge, a 4GLTE enabled Android smartphone.
MetroPCS said that through its Samsung Galaxy Indulge users can avail unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE Web page browsing, data access to streaming audio, video and gaming content, downloads and Android applications.
The smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo), and its 4GLTE service delivers fast Web page browsing and allows customers to watch and listen to entertainment and multimedia content from their favorite shows through the MetroSTUDIO application.
In addition, Quick access to the Android Market provides more than 100,000 apps to consumers’ and Android’s intuitive user interface with Samsung TouchWiz enhancements makes customising the device’s home screens simple and easy, said the company.
The Galaxy Indulge provides complete access to Google Mobile services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube.
The smartphone will feature a 3 megapixel camera and camcorder with auto-focus, music player, Stereo Bluetooth capabilities and expandable memory storage up to 32GB.
MetroPCS president, chairman and CEO Roger Linquist said the Samsung Galaxy Indulge will allow consumers to experience the benefits of both MetroPCS’ 4GLTE services and the Android operating system.
"Mobile consumers no longer have to choose between low cost service and high-end Android handsets, instead, they can have it all by being able to select from a full spectrum of feature and smartphones paired with 4GLTE services at an unmatched value," Linquist said.
