Microsoft has released additional details about Office 2013 version for Windows RT will be called Office Home & Student 2013 RT.
The company said that the updates to the final version will roll out through Windows Update with Wi-Fi connection in early November 2012, which will continue through January 2013.
Office Home & Student 2013 RT is full Office built from the same code base as the other versions of Office with small changes.
It will feature desktop versions of Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint and the new Office applications, have been introduced for both touch and minimized power/resource consumption.
Windows RT is designed to run on ARM System on a Chip (SoC) processors which combine the systems components onto a single integrated chip.
Windows RT systems memory capabilities start at about 2GB and will have Solid State Disk (SSD) drives of 16 to 32 GB capacity which are fast and battery efficient.
The Windows RT version of Office 2013 will lack a few features compared to the regular Windows 8 version, including no support for macros, add-ins, and features that rely on ActiveX controls or third party code, the lack of playing older media formats in PowerPoint.
In February 2012, Microsoft had revealed details on how Windows 8 will function on the ARM processor architecture.
