MmO2, which trades as O2, has announced fiscal year 2002 ebitda of GBP433 million. The results from Europe’s fifth largest mobile operator were at the top range of expectations, which were between GBP412437 million.
The group also reported a pro forma ebitda loss of GBP39 million for fiscal 2001. Since then, it has been demerged from BT and has rebranded its four subsidiaries under the O2 brand. It demerged from BT in November 2001, and carried out the rebranding this month.
Allowing for interest, depreciation and amortization, mmO2 reported a pre-tax loss of GBP873 million.
