mm02 has announced that its commercial 3G launch on the Isle of Man will be delayed by six months. The delay has been caused by a lack of 3G handsets.
The recently spun off mobile arm of BT was planning to roll-out the service in the middle of next year, but the launch is now unlikely to happen before the end of 2002.
The Isle of Man 3G network currently covers about 85% of the island’s population. This coverage will be expanded to 100% early next year.
