MMT Computing is cautiously optimistic after halting a two-year decline in its business. The company’s first-half profits before one-off costs were £470,000, which is up from £30,000 last time. However turnover for the same period slipped to £14.6 million from £16.86 million.
In the company’s half-year statement, MMT’s chairman Mike Tilbrook said that despite the disappointment of recording the company’s first ever loss last year, some progress has been made towards restoring the company to profitability.
Tilbrook said that while trading conditions across the group remain relatively tough, there had been a resilient performance from many areas, and a particularly strong turn-round within the company’s Packaged Solutions division.
